about us

We are a co-ed Sunday School class at First Baptist Church, Fredericksburg, Texas. We are one of about 14 Sunday School classes directed mainly to adults. We recently started this class so it could be directed to a smaller group setting. We teach through a group participation atmosphere so that we can readily ask questions and learn from each other.

Our lessons almost always are directly from the Bible. Our workbook is the Bible. We welcome anyone to our class who wants to study God’s word. Once we pick a book of the Bible to study we go through each chapter picking out information that we can use to make us better Christians and to learn more about God. We also help each other use the information we glean to help us in today’s world.

STUDIES

We are now studying Galatians. This epistle was written by Paul around A.D. 57, on the third missionary journey from Ephesus during his two years of residence there. Galatians is the strongest declaration and defense of the doctrine of justification by faith in or out of Scripture. Not only is a sinner saved by grace through faith plus nothing, but the saved sinner lives by grace. We will be assisted in this study by the Bible and a commentary on Galatians written by Martin Luther. Come join us!
